A SEVERE fire has left a takeaway and adjoining flat badly damaged.
The fire service were called to Pizza Rush in Colne Road, Burnley at 2.09am this morning after a passer-by saw smoke coming from an upstairs flat.

Two fire crews from Burnley attended and entered wearing breathing apparatus.
The blaze, which is understood to have started in the takeaway kitchen area, had spread to the upstairs flat.
The building was unoccupied when fire officers arrived and crews spent around two hours at the scene.
An investigation has begun into the cause of the fire.
A fire service spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances regarding the incident.
