WITNESSES are being urged to come forward after an 84-year-old woman from Burnley was involved with a collision with a van today.
Police confirmed that at 10.35am, a white ford transit van had turned from Croft Street into Red Lion Street and collided with an elderly woman crossing the road.
The lady hit the ground and sustained a head injury and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where the police described her condition as 'stable'.
Sgt Tracey Ward from the East Road Policing Unit, said: "We need anyone who may have seen this incident to come forward and give us their version of events."
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 and quote the incident reference 387 of January, 9, 2016.
