TWO homes close to each other in Burnley were burgled on Thursday night.
Properties in Helm Close and Glen View Road were targeted, but detectives are not linking the crimes at the present moment.
PC Keith Sandham said: “There were two burglaries last night not far from each other.
“The first was reported just after midnight on Glen View Road, when the thief smashed a window at the back of the house and stole a laptop computer from the dining table.
“The second burglary was reported at 5am on Helm Close, Habergam Eaves.
“The offender entered through the patio doors at the rear and stole a handbag containing money and a phone.
“Please make time to put property away out of sight last thing at night, including phones on charge.
“Also, ensure that doors are locked and keys removed, even while you are in.”
