POLICE investigating an indecent exposure in Burnley seek information.

The incident was at around 4.20pm on Saturday on a footpath off Padiham Road near to the pelican crossing with Ightenhill Park Lane.

A woman, 24, was walking along the path when she saw a man to the back of Windsor Street.

As she walked towards him, he removed a jacket which was in front of his lower body and exposed himself, before touching himself inappropriately.

He then walked off in the direction of Padiham.

Det Con Ian McLean of Burnley CID said: “This incident happened in broad daylight and has left the woman who witnessed it understandably shaken.

“I am keen to find this man and urge anyone who may have seen someone matching his description to contact us.”

The man was described as being white, 26 to 27-years-old, 5ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build, He had an oval face with light brown wavy hair which was longer on top, in a mushroom-type style.

The man was wearing round-shaped spectacles and a short-sleeved red T shirt, three-quarter length trousers and was holding a khaki green coloured hooded jacket.
