Fire service called after firework smashes through window in Burnley
THE emergency services were called to a house in Burnley last night after a firework smashed through a window.
The fire service arrived at the scene in Holmes Street shortly after 6.20pm and firefighters administer oxygen therapy to a woman who lives there. A spokesman for the service said she had inhaled smoke but was not sent to hospital for further treatment.
The firework did not start a fire and the police were informed.
