A CAR valeting boss is hoping to give Burnley FC some 'va va vroom' with his freshly painted claret and blue Reliant Robin.
Mark Holmes, owner of Water Wheels in Plumbe Street, Burnley, has branded his trusty three-wheeler with the Clarets’ new crest in the hopes it will drive them up the Premier League table.
Mark, 40, who has had a season ticket for seven years, said: “I’d like to take it to every game, but it’s a fragile old thing. It’s 25-years-old and pretty easy to push over by opposing supporters.
“I use it as a run around quite a bit. People pip their horns and wave at me. My wife Christine won’t get in it because she thinks it looks daft.”
In 2009, Mark and his friend Jan Coleman, a mechanic at Turf Moor garage, took the car to Wembley to see the Clarets beat Sheffield United 1-0 and get into the top flight.
Mark said: “He had to drive it in case the old thing broke down.”
