A WOMAN was breathalysed by police after she was seen on CCTV staggering to her car in Darwen town centre.
Blackburn magistrates heard Dawn Catherine Geogarty had gone out in her car to use the cash machine before midnight because he card was due to expire and she didn't know if she would be able to use the new one.
Geogarty, 51, of Nelson Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. She was banned from driving for 20 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
Richard Prew, defending, said Geogarty expected her bank card to run out at midnight and had been worried she would not be able to get any money the next day.
