Jobs chance for teens at apprenticeship fair
3:51pm Tuesday 12th February 2013 in News
TEENAGERS looking for an apprenticeship will find more than 100 jobs with training on offer at King George’s Hall this afternoon.
Forty employers and training providers will be looking for recruits from 1pm to 7pm.
In addition to 16 to 18-years-olds looking for an immediate start to their working life, 11 to 13-year-olds at school and college are invited to attend the Apprenticeship Fair.
Blackburn with Darwen council leader Kate Hollern said: “This is an excellent opportunity for young people to look at current apprenticeship vacancies.
“Hopefully it will provide them with valuable advice and knowledge to help in finding an apprenticeship that suits them and their needs.”
Parents and carers are welcome to attend to have a look at the opportuni-ties that are on offer.
Over 450 people attended last year with many young people able to apply for apprenticeships at the event.
