PROBE Police at the incident in Mill Lane, Blackburn town centre
A MAN is recovering in hospital after being injured in an ‘unprovoked’ attack in Blackburn town centre.
The 28-year-old was left with a fractured jaw and broken ankle after being set up in the back alley of Retro bar, in Mill Lane on Tuesday.
He was assaulted after arranging to meet up with an acquaintance to amicably settle an ongoing personal issue.
But as the Blackburn man arrived with two friends, he was caught off guard by a group of up to eight Asian males waiting for him shortly after 4.45pm.
He was punched in the face before being knocked to the floor with his top pulled over his face.
The gang then continued to punch and kick the man, who is also Asian, as he lay on the ground until one of his friends alerted police. DS Marc Saunders, of Blackburn CID is leading the investigation.
He said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack. The victim arrived in Mill Lane to sort out a personal issue offering no violence at all.
“He was kicked and punched to the face and torso and left with nasty injuries including a fractured jaw and broken ankle.
“I urge anyone who was in Blackburn town centre shortly before 5pm on Tuesday to come forward.
“Someone must have seen a group of up to eight Asian males gathering in the Mill Lane area before and after the attack.
“Inquiries are currently under way and we are checking CCTV footage of the area for clues.”
The group of attackers are described as aged between 18 and 21 years old.

I also forgot to mention the grooming of young girls by paedophiles and the extensive drug dealing goes on in Blackburn. A couple more valid reasons to stay well away my friends and to keep your families away from the abyss that Blackburn has become.

Its very rare that I use the teerm LIER but on this occasion I think I am justified given the fact that I have been called a racist for stating the obvious. Anyone who claims to have grown up in 50's and 60's Blackburn and remembers Blackburn as being a violent town (ha ha ha) was to mixed up with the drugs that were available during the flower power years.

I cannot believe how bitter and twisted the White population of Blackburn has become. Most of the above comments are from people who have a deep hatred towards their non white co-habitants of the town. Why is this?
You will find that if you was to ask the local police for an honest answer they would tell you that by far the majority of the towns crimes are committed by white folk.
Some nugget mentions 'No Go Areas'. Where exactly are the no go areas?!?
If you personally fear going to a specific area that's your choice and probably owing to your own insecurities not because the locals won't permit you to enter!

the LET doesn't check comments, as other papers do, before they are posted. If they did, we wouldn't have the issue...the problem is, that costs money because they'd have to employ someone so its cheaper & easier to do what they do & limit free speech for those of us that can put a point of view across without needing to be offensive, racist or insulting etc.

The story of the Asian gang in London stopping people and claiming it was a muslim area, is another example that is hitting the headlines.
Maybe the innocent young lad who was simply walking down the road in Machester and was stabbed by a coward who got out of a car is simply 'insecurity'.

I can't possibly comment on your son's 'alleged' assault. Was it reported to the police? Did the event merit such credibility that it was written about in the LET?
Suggesting that Audley is a No Go Zone is a mockery on any locals intelligence! The area is relatively mixed, don't tell me otherwise I have cause to drive through it every now and again! I've never heard of race riots in that part of town, in fact I've never heard of them at all. Regarding the lad who was stabbed in Manchester the other day, the person responsible was from Barkshire! Barely part of a Manchester gang but that depends on your geographical knowledge of the land, of course.
Hopefully the police and the courts will do the victims family justice and sentence the culprit accordingly. At this time we don't know the exact motives of the suspect but you'll find that no person from any community in this country would condone such a senseless stupid act.

My comment was simply a response to your view which I found was incorrect, verging on unrealistic.
I think you'll find that none of my comment was racist - simply taken from a personal viewpoint. I don't consider the indigenous to be the innocent party in this as my comment to Mr.0 will testify.
Your opinion of the idiots in London seems to be of less concern than the police who are taking it seriously. I also suggest you google Audley and queens park/Lancashire telegraph and learn some facts.
As for the coward from Berkshire; it was clearly stated as a reference to people feeling insecure, when clearly there the ever present threat of danger on our streets.

Also, I didn't link the assault to the Manchester murder - I linked it to your comment about why people should feel insecure, which you yourself mentioned before me?
My argument may be weak in your opinion but it clearly is more structured than your own flawed hypothesis which has the incorrect data.
