MORE than 1,770 households were without power this morning due to an underground cable fault.
Bosses at Electricity North West said people living in Brockhall Village, Whalley, Billington and Langho were affected.
The powercut happened shortly after 4.30am and engineers managed to reconnect around 470 customers by 4.45am.
Another 741 regained power at around 5.40am and 500 more had electricity by 6am.
Around 40 customers were still without power at 1pm.
A spokesman for Electricity North West said: “It was an underground cable fault that caused the power cut and with the repairs, customers came on in different stages.
“At 1pm, 22 customers were still off because the fault had not been fully repaired.
“Engineers were hoping to get those customers back on by 3pm.”
