Volunteers wanted for Darwen charity
11:23am Wednesday 9th January 2013 in News
CHARITY Age UK is seeking more volunteers to assist at its charity shop in Market Street, Darwen.
The shop sells a range of donated goods to raise money for Age UK’s services for older people in Blackburn with Darwen.
The shop relies on its team of volunteers and needs to recruit some additional people. Volunteers assist in all aspects of running the shop, from the preparation of goods through to helping customers and working on the till. Volunteers need to have a reasonable level of fitness and good customer service skills. A range of times and days are available, Monday to Saturday, and training and out-of-pocket travel expenses will be provided.
For information, contact Fran Breckell, volunteer co-ordinator, on 01254 266620, visit www.ageukbwd.org.uk or call into the shop at 3 Market Street, Darwen.
