Recycle festive trimmings in Pendle
1:23pm Wednesday 2nd January 2013 in News
OLD Christmas cards, wrapping paper, and Christmas trees, will be collected free of charge by recycling crews in Pendle from Monday, January 7 to Friday, January 18.
The service is being provided by the borough council’s waste management team, and collections will be made on normal refuse/ recycling removal days.
Coun John David, responsible for recycling in Pendle, said: “Simply remove your decorations from the trees, and put them out with your green, or brown, bin for recycling.
“The trees we collect are taken to Leyland for recycling with Pendle's other garden waste, and are turned into compost.”
