AN East Lancashire MP has backed a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of ‘silent killer’ carbon monoxide.

Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry has lodged his support for National Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week, which runs until Sunday.

Carbon Monoxide Awareness is a registered national charity based in the North West. It actively supports the victims of carbon monoxide poisoning and raises awareness of the deadly gas.

Mr Berry said: “More volunteers are needed to help continue this charity’s valuable work helping victims and their families.

But crucially, help is needed to raise essential funding to continue to fight this silent killer.

“If you could help raise funds and encourage people to volunteer for Carbon Monoxide Awareness, please contact charity president at Lynn Griffiths on who would like to hear of your ideas.”
