What's on: Remembrance Sunday events
CHURCH services, parades and wreath laying ceremonies are set to be held across East Lancashire over the weekend to remember the county’s fallen heroes.
The Royal British Legion said they are expecting are a record turnout, with this year’s Armistice day also falling on Remembrance Sunday.
Amongst the events planned for East Lancashire are:
BLACKBURN Sunday 9.30am - Blackburn Cathedral service followed by wreath laying BURNLEY Sunday 10.50am - Croft Street war memorial CHORLEY Sunday 9.30am - Procession from the Town Hall in St Thomas’s Road, at 9.30am followed by wreath laying in Astley Park Cenotaph.
DARWEN Friday 10.30am - Darwen Cemetery Saturday 11am - Darwen Town Hall followed by wreath-laying at Belgrave Square Boer War Memorial.
Sunday 10.30am - Darwen Cemetery Sunday 9.15am - St Paul’s Church, Hoddlesden. 11.55am wreath laying at Hoddlesden War Memorial.
Sunday 2.30pm - St Peter’s Church, Darwen

What do you think the implications are for the everyday run of the mill working class man,of another country invading the UK.
I personally think very little these soldiers who sacrifice there lives are doing so , for the benefit of the controlling and ruling classes, and to keep the arms trade strong.
The arms trade is simply a design to cream off the nations cash for the benefit of the arms dealers.
