BLACKBURN drama student Rebecca Hannon made a big splash when she entered the Big Brother house as the first ever 'wild card' on Friday.

The bubbly 19-year-old drama student ran through the house screaming before jumping into the swimming pool wearing her posh frock.

Rebecca is the first ever contestant to be voted into the BB house and won the exclusive title ahead of fellow wild cards Anthony and Bhavesh after fans voted via Twitter.

Rebecca was plunged straight in at the deep end, as she was given a secret mission to become at least one housemate's favourite contestant by Sunday.

If she succeeds, she will be granted immunity ahead of tonight’s (Monday) first vote.

Her dad Terry Hannon said: “I was watching it with all the family last night. I wasn’t surprised to see her enter the house like that. That’s just what she’s like. She definitely made an entrance.

“She’s already been dressed as a monster and had a strop at one of the housemates, but she’s a lovely girl and I’m sure she will get on with everyone and succeed with her task.”

The show, which is the 13th regular series and the second on Channel 5, launched last Tuesday.

Rebecca, who has previously been an extra on Shameless, is the 17th housemate to enter the BB house.

Rebecca joins fellow East Lancashire contestant Arron Lowe, a former cage fighter-turned-model.

Arron, 23, who grew up in Hall Carr in Rawtenstall, enjoyed the first snog of the summer with handsome housemate Conor on Thursday, during a game of spin the bottle.

Fuelled by alcohol, Arron also argued with Victoria while later playing a game of ‘snog, marry or evict’.

The former glamour model was evicted on Friday to make way for Rebecca.
