A 10-YEAR-old boy started losing the feeling in his leg when he became trapped in a playground.
The youngster had been playing at The Redeemer CEP Primary School, Blackburn, with friends when his knee got caught between a metal pole and the back of a basketball net at about 7.40pm on Wednesday.
The boy tried to free himself for about 45 minutes, but he was unable to escape and his friends got hold of his mum when he began losing the feeling in his leg.
She then called firefighters and the ambulance service.
Firefighters cut part of the pole to free the boy before paramedics examined him.
The incident took place outside of school hours and while the school was unstaffed.
