FIVE streets in the Infirmary area of Blackburn have asked to have parking privileges removed.
Residents’ only parking will now be revoked in Mosley Street, Walsh Street, Lynthorpe Road, Dyson Street and Infirmary Street after a majority of householders signed petitions to say they were no longer needed.
The scheme was introduced when nearby hospital services were still in place.
Following the hospital’s move the scheme remained to cope with increased parking on match days at Ewood Park.
