A BLACKBURN vaping business is expanding after plans for a new building have been given the green light.

Totally Wicked Limited have had their head office on Stancliffe Street for the past five years and they are the UK’s premier vaping company stocking a range of e-cigarette kits and mods.

However, as their firm continues to grow they have needed to create a stand alone 8,675sq ft steel framed industrial building to the west of the original building.

In the report to planners, it was claimed that the ‘building will provide much needed warehouse space for the business which in turn will facilitate a rationalisation of working procedures within the original building’.

The new warehouse will echo the current building on the site with facing brick plinths to all sides above which the main wall cladding will be grey in colour.

After the scheme was given the green light, all deliveries will be made to the new building.

“The proposed building will be used to increase the warehouse capacity on the site and centralise deliveries to the sit.

“It will include a service forecourt to the front of the building and car parking to the area.

“At present service vehicles, some staff cars and customer cars all use the vehicular access in front of the main office and shop entrances to access and egress the site.

“This causes a degree of conflict and manoeuvring of service vehicles is difficult.”

Cllr Damien Talbot, who represents the Mill Hill ward where the warehouse is to be built was impressed by the news.

He said: “I am pleased to see that Totally Wicket are continuing their expansion and developing this land at Stancliffe Street as well as providing local employment for people.
