IT proved to be a busy night for firefighters in Blackburn who tackled a blaze at a flat and a chip pan fire.
Two fire engines from Blackburn attended a fire involving a ground floor flat on Walsh Street at around 11pm last night.
Fire crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
One person was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
While elsewhere in Burnley Road, Blackburn, two fire engines from Blackburn and one from Hyndburn attended a blaze in a terraced property shortly before 3am this morning.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a fire involving a chip pan in the kitchen.
Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the flames.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics.
