AN appeal has been launched by police to recover wall insulation after a man was charged with its theft.
Police said Michael Moore was arrested at his home address at Pilmuir Road in Blackburn on Friday following enquiries into two recent thefts.
On Friday, August 25, Moore along with another man allegedly removed 160 sheets of cavity wall insulation from a property in Stanhill Road, Oswaldtwistle, police said.
Officers also said on Wednesday another alleged theft occurred at Howarth Timber Supplies in Blackburn.
A police spokesman said: "Some of the property was recovered at a lock up, within Wensley Business Park, Blackburn however some sheets are outstanding.
"Moore was later charged and bailed to attend Blackburn Magistrates Court.
"We are appealing to the public for any information to help in the recovery of the other outstanding sheets."
Anyone with any information should contact police on 101.
