THE Met Office have released a yellow weather warning for parts of East Lancashire today.
It will continue to be very warm and humid with a maximum temperature of 26°C and thundery showers expected this afternoon.
While some places may stay dry, but where thunderstorm do occur there could be a risk of hail, strong winds and some torrential downpours.
Thunderstorms will continue into tonight and then clearing to the north.
There may some patchy light rain for the rest of the night with a minimum temperature of 12°C
