A DISHCLOTH caused a kitchen fire at Blackburn Ambulance station last night.
Fire crews from the town were called to the scene at George Street West at 10.50pm.
Steve Hartley, fire watch manager, said a dishcloth had been placed on top of a boiler which had fallen down the back of it.

He said: "The fire was extinguished by fire service personnel and made safe.
"It was caused by the dishcloth making contact with the electrical heating elements of the boiler.
"Luckily the fire was discovered just in time before any serious damage was done.
"Flammable and combustible materials must not be stored on or next to boilers or any other household appliance that could be a potential heat source.
"No one sustained any injuries."
