TICKETS are now available for the Blackburn with Darwen 2017 Mayor’s Ball.
The event will be held at King George’s Hall on Friday, April 21, and will include music from the Greater Manchester Police Band, dancing as well as a big-prize raffle.
All of the money raised on the night will go to East Lancashire Hospice and the North West Air Ambulance which the mayor, Cllr Hussain Akhtar, is supporting this year.
The ball will also be hosted by the mayoress, Tahzeem Akhtar.
The dress code is black tie and ladies evening dress.
Doors open at 7.30pm and the event will start at 8pm.

The event is sponsored by Capita and Blackburn with Darwen Council.
The ball is staged every year by the mayor of Blackburn.
