Malik, of Griffin Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a car belonging to Emma Jeal.

The court ordered her to pay £70 compensation and £85 costs.

Philippa White, prosecuting, said when Malik went to Miss Jeal’s door she appeared drunk.

“She was agitated and making allegations against Miss Jeal which she says were not true,” said Mrs White.

“She shut the front door and looked out of the window to see Malik kick her car a number of times.”

Mrs White said Malik was originally given a caution on condition she paid £100 compensation but she had only paid £70 and was charged with the offence.

Paul Huxley, defending, said the two women used to be good friends but that ended when she heard Miss Jeal had been spending some time with the defendant’s boyfriend.

“Drink was an issue in this case and there have been two offences of drunk and disorderly since,” said Mr Huxley.
