FIREFIGHERS were called to a house fire in Blackburn last night.
The blaze, which started in a microwave oven, filled the home in Mandela Court, Wimberley Street, with smoke.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene at around 8pm.
The occupiers of the home had removed the microwave to outside the house.
Fire chiefs said the smoke alarm was not working, but the occupiers noticed the fire before it became bigger.
They said the cause of the fire was accidental.
