POLICE who attended an address on Brownhill Drive in Blackburn on an unrelated matter discovered a cannabis farm.
Alex Taylor, 21, of Stonehill Drive, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis after the town’s magistrates heard the plants would have had an estimated street value of £8,560.

Taylor was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Ian Huggan, defending, said at the time of the offence Taylor accepted he had a serious cannabis addiction.
He said: “Since receiving the news that his first child is due to be born in December he has successfully managed to deal with his cannabis addiction problem.
“He is now doing a carpentry and joinery course at Blackburn College and eagerly looking forward to the birth of his child.”
