Service for Blackburn's vulnerable adults

A service is available for vulnerable adults in Blackburn and Darwen.

It provides planned, short term, intensive assistance.

It is designed to maximise a person's independence after illness, disability or loss of confidence.

The service's aims are to:  

  • Enable service users to remain in their own home by promoting independence and prevent daily living skills being lost 
  • Prevent hospital admission n Support hospital discharge
  • Improve quality of life
  • Prevent dependence on domiciliary care
  • Support family or carers
  • Avoid admission to residential care.

Individuals are assisted, in their own home to boost confidence.
