MP Andrew Stephenson has urged constitutents in Pendle to spend at least 60 minutes to help out good causes.
The MP volunteered for an hour at the Open Door Centre in Colne as part of the ‘Jubilee Hour’ campaign.
And he is keen for others in the borough to step up and give up their free time during the Queen’s Jubilee year.
Mr Stephenson said: “I was delighted to spend an hour at Colne Open Door, meeting the volunteers there and making a large pan of tomato soup.
“This charity does great work in Colne, so I was delighted to be able to briefly lend a hand. I’m looking forward to volunteering at other local charities later this year.”
