VOLUNTEERS and gardening enthusiasts are being urged to help create an edible wonderland.
The green fingered Incredible Edible Accrington team are urging people to get involved as they draw up plans for an Alice in Wonderland themed garden at Oak Hill Park, Accrington.
The garden, which was announced last week and will be filled with edible treats for visitors, will be a way of celebrating the town’s link with Alice Liddell, the inspiration for the famous children’s story.
Alice was known for most of her life by her married name Alice Hargreaves after she married Oak Hill’s last proprieter Reginald Hargreaves of the famous mill owning Accrington family.
Katie Farnell from Incredible Edible said: “The aim of the project is to bring the community together.”
