POLICE have seized 46 cannabis plants after they were discovered at homes in Blackburn and Darwen.
Officers found 36 plants in the loft and back bedroom of a house in Whalley Old Road, Blackburn, on Wednesday.
Cannabis and cultivation equipment including lighting and fans were also seized and a 47-year-old man was given a caution for growing cannabis.
In a separate incident, 12 cannabis plants were seized from a home in Sudell Road, Darwen, around 4.15am yesterday.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis. He will be questioned today.
PC Matt Lennie said: “I hope this highlights our determination to act on information from the public and I urge anyone who is concerned about drugs in their neighbourhood to contact us.”
