ROYAL Blackburn Hospital main entrance will be closed from Monday while improvement works are carried out.
The entrance will be closed until mid-July so a new, larger revolving door can be fitted to improve access for all visitors at the hospital.
Temporary signs will direct visitors to a number of additional entrances.
Martin Morgan, director of Estates and Facilities at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “The new configuration will also help to ventilate the area during the summer months and reduce heat loss during the winter.
"We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.”
