A BLACKBURN-based wallpaper design company has sold part of the business to a firm in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, for an undisclosed fee.
CWV, based on Shadsworth Business Park, has announced the sale of its Anaglypta business to Erfurt MAC.
Managing director Martin Kellaway said one job would be lost in the sales department.
He said: “The sale of the Anaglypta business is the logical conclusion of our co-operation with Erfurt MAV and will allow the continued development of the Anaglypta brand, securing the future of the iconic embossed wallpapers that have been a feature of UK decorating for 125 years.”
He added: “The wallpaper market is difficult, but there are opportunities for growth, and the business, as a whole, is doing well.”
The sale has allowed the firm to focus its resources on its remaining fashion-orientated brands Coloroll, Crown, Vymura and Lincrusta.
