THE full line-up for Darwen Library Theatre at the Darwen Live music festival has been announced.

On Saturday, June 2, the festival begins with Blackpool’s record-breaking Abba tribute show Dancing Queen, with support shows Red Hot Party and Red Hot Summer Nights.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £16 or £15 with concessions.

On the Sunday, the line-up includes the Elite Music Students Showcase from 1pm, Blackburn with Darwen’s Music Service Big Band from 3.15pm, Mr Cottonhouse from 4.15pm, Steve Lindley with the Uncertainty Principle from 5.05pm and The Armadillos closing the show from 6pm.

On the Monday, the PR Music Tuition Showcase kicks things off from 1pm, followed by Blackburn with Darwen’s Music Service Wing Band from 3.15pm, the Kiki DeVille Band from 4.15pm, Band From Country Hell from 5.05pm and the Jo Danuki Band from 6pm.

Speaking about closing the show on Sunday, The Armadillos’ Greg Walker said: “Over the years, the band has made this its favourite venue to display its own approach to Americana roots music.

“This year is special for the band as it has been asked to headline and close the Sunday show.

“This is a great honour and we will make sure the audience get what they they have come to see.”
