Schools at Burnley Campus closed this morning because of problems with the water system.
Holly Grove School, Reedley Hallows Nursery School, Barden Primary School and Thomas Whitham Sixth Form all closed at 10.30am today.
A message sent by Lancashire County Council this morning said the schools were closing because of "mechanical failure of all water related systems across the campus".
It continued: "Attempts made to repair proved fruitless and so the decision was made to close during morning break at 10.30am."
The schools are expected to reopen tomorrow.
