THREE people from Pendle have been fined more than £500 for letting their dogs foul.
The two women and one man, from Laneshaw Bridge, Colne and Nelson, failed to appear in Reedley Magistrates’ Court and the cases were proved in their absence.
Claire Barker, of Laneshaw Bridge, and Pat Robson, from Colne, were both fined £100 and ordered to pay £70 costs and £15 victim surcharge for letting dogs they were handling foul.
Steven Webster, of Chapelhouse Road, Nelson, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £70 costs and £15 victim surcharge for letting his dog foul although he cleaned it up after being asked by a dog warden.
David Alexander, senior environmental crime officer, said: “These three prosecutions are a good result for us.
"They will hopefully serve as a warning to others that they must clear up their dogs’ waste.”
