FIVE men charged with attempting to rob a Nelson jeweller's shop, appeared at Burnley Crown Court.
The defendants, all from Birmingham, had all been arrested following an alleged raid attempt on the shop on Manchester Road, on March 16.
Umayr Ahmed, 20, Imran Zamir, 19, Amar Haider, 19, Shezan Ellahi, 21, and Khazeer Ali, 19, did not enter pleas to the allegation and were remanded in custody until June 6, by Judge Beverley Lunt.
Ellahi is also accused of dangerous driving and resisting the police.
