A MOTORCYCLIST had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash with a van on the A59 near Clitheroe this afternoon.
The incident happened between the Chatburn and Clitheroe turn-offs on Pendle Road at 14:35, when the rider hit the central reservation.
The 20-year old man, who was riding a white Yamaha motorcycle, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by air ambulance shortly before 3pm.
His condition was not thought to be life-threatening but he may have suffered some injuries.
