CAMPAIGNING guide dogs and a cuddly friend will be going out on a fundraising mission in the centre of Burnley tomorrow.
Demi and Uska – both honorary members of Burnley Miners – are leading the charge for a major fundraiser for the Plumbe Street club.
Alongside their owners Ann Kay and Brenda Midgeley, and regulars, they will be touring Turf Moor and Fulledge pubs as part of the Miners’ £5,000 Guide Dog appeal.
One will also be donning the Guide Dogs’ mascot suit, before the Clarets host West Ham United, in a bid to collect vital funds.
The contingent will be visiting the likes of The Oxford, Brickmakers Arms, The Turf and Princess Royal as part of their trek from 1pm.
Regulars at the club have already insisted that their new Guide Dog puppy must be named ‘Bennie’, after the venue’s favourite tipple.
