POLICE are investigating whether a man who cut his head when he fell to the floor in Nelson town centre was assaulted.
The 26-year-old man came round in Manchester Road, near to the HSBC bank, at around 11am yesterday morning.
He suffered a cut to his head when he fell to the floor and was treated at the scene for his injuries.
The man told police he is not sure if he has been assaulted or whether he collapsed.
A police spokesman said they are investigating the circumstances behind the incident.
