A DAD-of-three launched a stalking campaign after a heated New Year's Eve row with a cabbie over a fare, a court heard.

Bricklayer Bradley Richens, 34, had been threatening to Kalil Hussain, racially abused him, made gestures at him, shouted and swore, banged on his taxi windows and damaged his car.

Richens was said to have been angry after police had turned up at his home at 5am, arrested him in front of his children over the argument and he had lost his job.

He had been released without charge.

Burnley magistrates heard how in one day, the defendant targeted the victim three times and ended up following him round Bacup in his car.

Richens hurled a stone at Mr Hussain's vehicle, cracking the window.

The defendant, of Rosendale Crescent, Bacup, admitted racially aggravated harassment without violence, between January 21 and February 12.

He was given a 10 week, 7pm to 6am curfew, between Wednesday and Sunday and must pay £85 costs.

The bench also imposed a 10 week restraining order to keep him away from Mr Hussain.
