THE funeral of a 12-year-old boy who was found hanged is taking place tomorrow.
Michael David Raven, of Longworth Avenue, Brunshaw, Burnley, was discovered in his bedroom on November 28.
The pupil at St Wilfrid’s CofE Academy, Blackburn, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His funeral service at Blackburn Cathedral will start at 10am.
The procession will then leave for Burnley Cemetery for 12noon.
Michael’s mum and dad, Susan and Graham, have asked for donations to be made to the Autism Resource Centre in Burnley.
Police are still unclear why Michael hanged himself but the school said it had ‘not been made aware’ of any bullying concerns despite rumours circulating online.
