DOZENS of people attended a memorial service for a dog stabbed to death in a supermarket car park.
A picture of pitbull cross Biggie was put up in the car park of Lidl, in Colne Road, Burnley, where the incident happened this week.
Candles were also lit to remember the dog which was stabbed in the neck after it bit two men who were arguing with its owner. Plans to put a plaque on a wall near the supermarket are now being formulated as well.
More than 1,500 people have joined a Facebook group called ‘Justice for the poor dog’, Lee Dillon, who organised the memorial, said: “A big thank-you to all those who came, it was nice to meet and get together for the memorial of Biggie.”
