Steven Greene
A NELSON student is dancing with joy after landing a £2,000 scholarship to study performing arts at Edge Hill University.
The recipient is Steven Greene,18, from Regent Street who has embarked on a BA in drama, physical theatre and dance from September.
He successfully applied for the award after gaining a BTEC in performing arts with three distinctions.
Steven's success comes despite having to overcome learning difficulties that have affected his co-ordination and reading.
He said: "I'll be using the extra cash to pay for additional dance classes."
