BOSSES at a Lancashire car dealership are celebrating after being named the best in Britain.
The Chorley Group, with five branches including Chorley and Burnley, earned the accolade from car giants Nissan UK after achieving the best group sales figures in the country.
During the first six months of 2011 the group’s main outlet in Chorley recorded a Nissan sales penetration of 27 per cent – the national average stands at 5 per cent.
Chorley Group managing director Andrew Turner said: “The recognition reflects not only our standing and reputation, but also the high performance level of our sales team.
“There are a number of key factors, not least our experienced staff and our attention to keen pricing during what is clearly a difficult trading time.”
Mark Heywood, of Nissan UK, said: “During the first half of the year the Chorley Group came out as top performing dealer.”
