POLICE have released more information about a road rage incident in Blackburn in a bid to bring forward more witnesses.
A 36-year-old man suffered a fractured leg when a gold Volkswagen Golf was deliberately driven at him in Earl Street, at its junction with Whalley Range, around 9pm on Wednesday, August 17.
Detectives investigating the incident revealed that one car was chasing another, with the Golf then reversing through a red light at speed and colliding with the C Class Mercedes.
The Mercedes driver got out and was then hit a ‘glancing blow’ by the other car, police said.
Two men have been questioned on suspicion of wounding, but police are appealing for anyone who saw the two cars in the area, or the incident, to come forward.
Call them on 0845 1253545, or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
