THE Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu is visiting Blackburn in October and will deliver a sermon at the Cathedral.
The Diocese of Blackburn has announced that the Archbishop will call at several churches and communities in the area during a two-day stay on October 6 and 7.
The Diocesan Eucharist with the Archbishop will take place on Thursday, October 6, at 7pm.
The Bishop of Blackburn Nicholas Reade described the Archbishop’s address as a ‘wonderful occasion’ and a ‘historic event’.
