PLANS to build a detached house in Keighley Road, Colne, have been rejected by councillors.
The property would have been built within the Lidgetts and Bents Conservation Area.
Boulsworth councillor Paul White proposed a motion to refuse the application at a meeting of Pendle Council’s Colne Committee.
He said: “Many local residents are concerned about the development and other possible developments within the Lidgetts triangle.
“This development just wasn’t in keeping with the surrounding area,” he added.
