POLICE have launched an appeal to find a man who has gone missing from his home in Burnley.

Neil Turner, 32, has not been seen by his family for five weeks and they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

He was last seen by a neighbour near to his home in Edgeworth Grove in Burnley on the July 24 and it is thought that he may have travelled to the Blackburn area.

Detective Sergeant Kim De Curtis of Burnley CID said: “Both Mr Turner's family and the police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare given that he has not been in contact with anyone for such a long time and we would appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen him to contact police as soon as possible.”

He is described as white, with dark brown collar length hair and has a North West accent.

He has a tattoo of a lion on his left shoulder and a sword on his right shoulder.

He also has a tattoo of a celtic band on his upper left arm.
