COMMUNITY projects in Burnley will continue to benefit from the council’s Ward Opportunities Fund next year.
Under the scheme each of the borough’s 15 wards is allocated £10,000 a year to be spent on community projects.
The elected ward councillors consider proposals that come up in their local areas, in line with simple criteria and rules.
Coun Linda White said: “This scheme makes a big difference.
It shows our commitment to each and every area across Burnley and Padiham.
“The best projects prove that even a small amount of money, matched up to community effort, can lead to real improvements.”
