CATALYTIC converters were cut off three new 4x4 vehicles while they were parked on a Colne car showroom forecourt.
The thief managed to steal the exhaust systems undetected at some time last week before staff noticed.
A cutting tool was used in the theft at Vantage Toyota, North Valley Retail Park, police said.
The converters were taken from underneath two Toyota Rav 2 vehicles and a Toyota Landcruiser.
